The Ubiquiti Wave AP is a 60GHz PtMP access point that uses Wave technology for high-speed wireless connections. The total throughput reaches 5.4Gbps and the device supports the connection of up to 31 clients. The maximum range is up to 8km when connected to Wave Pro or Wave Long-Range units, up to 5km with Wave Nano, and up to 1.3km with Wave Pico. The device operates in a temperature range of -40 to 60°C, at a relative humidity of 5 to 95% non-condensing, and meets FCC, IC, and CE certifications. The device uses Wave technology and operates in the 57–71GHz frequency range. The main radio supports 16QAM and QPSK modulations and channel widths of 2160, 1080, and 540MHz. The integrated directional antenna offers a gain of 24dBi, vertical-linear polarisation, and a beamwidth of 30° in azimuth and 3° in elevation.

Backup Band and Construction
The device includes a backup radio using the 802.11ax (WiFi 6) standard. It operates in the 5150–5875MHz frequency band (Worldwide) and supports channel widths of 20, 40, and 80MHz. The backup link uses dual-linear polarisation, has an antenna gain of 12dBi, and cross-polarisation isolation of 10dB. Modulations from BPSK up to 1024QAM are supported. The construction consists of an aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate, which ensures the mechanical durability of the entire unit. The device has an IP67 rating. The structure can withstand a wind load of 98N at a wind speed of 200km/h. The bracket is designed for mounting on a pole with a diameter of 25 to 76mm, and the total weight of the device is 2.3kg.
Connectivity and Hardware
For connecting to the internal network, the device offers one 2.5Gbit RJ45 Ethernet port and one 10Gbit SFP+ optical port. Power is supplied by passive PoE with a supported voltage of 44 to 54V DC or 22 to 27V DC. The power consumption does not exceed 24W at full load of the entire system. The package includes a power supply in the form of a 48V DC, 0.65A PoE adapter. Smooth operation of the operating system is ensured by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with a frequency of 1.4GHz, complemented by 512MB of RAM. Three LED indicators show the status of power, Ethernet activity, and GPS signal.
Management and Network Tools
The device operates in PtMP access point mode and requires the UISP network application version 1.5.7 for management. Administrators have tools such as Wave AI, speed measurement, cable testing, and route tracing at their disposal. Central management simplifies the configuration and monitoring of the entire wireless link in real time and is used to set the network to Bridge mode.
