Ubiquiti AirMAX 21dBi

Ubiquiti AirMAX 21dBi
The Ubiquiti AirMAX 21 WiFi antenna is used for receiving and transmitting signals in wireless networks within the 5GHz band and a frequency range of 5.10 to 5.85GHz. This outdoor panel device, designed for routers, operates with a gain of 21dBi and a 60° beamwidth in both polarisations. Its IP65-rated construction withstands weather conditions and can handle installation in demanding outdoor environments. The sector design with dual polarisation helps reduce unwanted interference in the surrounding area and is adapted for integration with Rocket radio units.
Key features of the Ubiquiti AirMAX 21dBi WiFi antenna
- 21dBi gain in the 5GHz band
- Wind resistance up to 200km/h
- 60° sector beamwidth in both polarisations
- Cross-polarisation isolation from 25dB
- IP65-rated body withstands adverse weather conditions
- Supports the 802.11ac standard and transfer speeds up to 500Mb/s
- The RocketM bracket simplifies the mounting of compatible radio stations
Durability and construction
The device measures 75×17.3×7.8cm and weighs 4800g. Its construction withstands winds of up to 200km/h and can handle a wind load of 391N. The IP65 rating protects internal components from water and dust ingress. Installation is made easy with a universal pole mounting kit, which is included in the package along with weatherproof RF jumper cables.
Wireless transmission parameters
The antenna operates in the 5.10 to 5.85GHz frequency range and supports the 802.11ac standard as part of WiFi 5. The transfer speed ranges from 301 to 500Mb/s. The VSWR value is 1.5:1 and the cross-polarisation isolation reaches 25dB. The device meets the European specification ETSI EN 302 326 DN2 and complies with NDAA standards.
Integration and compatibility
The design allows for the direct connection of Rocket radio units without needing any extra tools. The antenna has two RP-SMA type connectors for connecting the transmitter. The device works with Wave-MLO5, RP-5AC-Gen2, LTU-Rocket, and R5AC-LITE units. It is powered using the PoE 802.3af Ethernet standard, which simplifies cable routing to the transmitter on the pole.
Interference and noise immunity
The sector antenna, with a 60° beamwidth in both horizontal and vertical polarisations, concentrates power into a defined area. The electrical downtilt is 2° and the beamwidth is 4°. The airMAX AC technology suppresses ambient noise in high-capacity multipoint networks. This system helps maintain a stable connection even in areas with a high density of wireless networks.
