Creative Techniques with JAVANA Dye
Kreul JAVANA dye is suitable for creative projects. You can use it for the traditional Japanese technique of shibori, which creates patterns by folding and tying the fabric. It is also suitable for wax batik, where wax protects parts of the fabric from being dyed. The powder form allows for easy dosing and mixing. It is also suitable for dip-dye or tie-dye techniques.
How to Achieve the Desired Shade
The intensity of the final black shade depends on the ratio of dye to the weight of the dry fabric. To achieve a rich and deep tone, use the entire contents of the 70g bottle for approximately 200 grams of textile. If you prefer a medium-deep shade, the same amount of dye is sufficient for 400 grams of fabric. The dye is supplied in a resealable bottle, which allows for easy dosing and storage of unused powder.
Materials and Simple Dyeing Process
This dye is intended for natural fibres and some synthetic materials. It is suitable for silk, cotton, viscose, linen, half-linen, and also for wool or polyamide. The dyeing process is straightforward as the package already contains fixing salt, which ensures the colourfastness of the dye. Simply immerse the fabric in a hot water bath with the dissolved dye. After dyeing, wash the textiles separately at a temperature of up to 40°C to maintain their new colour.
