Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT is a mounting aid for Intel motherboards with LGA1700 socket. The Contact Frame replaces the standard motherboard ILM and improves the cooling performance of the CPU cooler through optimized contact pressure. It is made by injection molding from an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer that has 15 percent glass fiber content for additional stability.

The Intel 1700 LT CPU contact frame prevents the IHS from concave curvature due to a special internal contour to shift the contact pressure from the center of the CPU to the edges during assembly. The coolers thus rest better on the CPU and the larger contact area dissipates waste heat better.

Installing the contact frame in a few steps is very simple. The Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT CPU is compatible with 12th, 13th and 14th generation processors for LGA1700 socket. The frame is only compatible with CPUs whose Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) has not been ground by more than 0.2 millimeters. When assembling, make sure there are no electronic components under the frame.
