Superbly readable display and unbeatable battery life
The new 1.3" LED dot-matrix display ensures excellent readability in everyday use and in low-light conditions. You can choose between two backlight modes: green for normal use and red to better preserve your eyes' adaptation to the dark. You will appreciate the red light during a night march, in camp, when hunting or when observing the night sky. The Suunto Core 2 outdoor watch uses a replaceable CR3032 coin cell battery, which lasts up to 15 months. Once discharged, you can replace the battery and continue using the watch without waiting for it to charge.
Suunto Core 2 has improved ABC sensors
The foundation is a proven combination of ABC sensors. The altimeter shows the current altitude and helps track your progress when ascending or descending. The measuring range of the Suunto Core 2 is from −100 to 10000 metres. The barometer monitors changes in atmospheric pressure, from which you can tell whether the weather is stabilising or about to worsen. The electronic compass helps you determine your direction even in places where there is no mobile signal. The Suunto watch also displays sunrise and sunset times and moon phases. The Suunto outdoor watch also has a storm alarm, which alerts you to a rapid change in the weather. This lets you adjust your route in good time or descend from an exposed spot to find shelter. Barometric data is particularly useful in the mountains and outside areas with mobile coverage where you cannot continuously check the internet forecast.
Military-grade durability stands up to any conditions
This outdoor watch boasts durability that meets the strict MIL-STD 810H military standard and is water-resistant up to 10 ATM. The watch display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass. The large mechanical buttons are designed for easy operation with wet hands or while wearing gloves. The Suunto Core 2 watch operates within a temperature range of −20 to +60 °C. This makes it suitable not only for summer hiking, but also for winter expeditions, fieldwork and year-round outdoor use.
Suunto Core 2 supports Bluetooth connectivity
The watch can be connected via Bluetooth to your phone with the Suunto app installed. It will then automatically synchronise the time and wirelessly install OTA updates. The Bluetooth connection range is up to 10 metres. The basic outdoor functions remain usable directly on the watch, so you don't need to carry your mobile phone during every activity.

With larger buttons and a more intuitive interface, the Suunto Core 2 watch is easier to operate in real-world outdoor conditions. Key functions are always easily accessible, which simplifies control and lets you fully focus on the adventure ahead.
