TSA Lock

The primary purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. It also speeds up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and check luggage with this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open this lock. Keys for TSA locks are not available for public sale and are only accessible to TSA staff. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice inside your suitcase and the suitcase must be locked again. It is especially recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily a US organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.
