When choosing a new tent, it is necessary to consider a few basic parameters:

Size - manufacturer always states for how many people is the tent designed. Generally speaking, a fully-grown adult requires about 60 cm in width and length and the tent should be about 25 cm taller than its occupants.
Weight - choose according to how you intend to use it. A tent that you transport by car can be heavier, but if you plan to climb mountains with it, then you will feel every extra ounce.
Construction - two-layer tents are the most common and they are very moisture-resistant. One layer can be found in less expensive models, but also in special hiking tents that need to be as light as possible.
Hydrostatic head - indicates the ability of the tent to withstand rain. The outer part (tropiko) should handle at least 2,000 mm, flooring material 5,000 - 10,000.
