Luminous Flux
This is measured in Lumens (lm), and the higher the value, the more intensely the head torch shines. Some LED head torches offer multiple levels of light intensity, adjustable either in steps or continuously. However, a higher luminous flux reduces battery life.Up to 100 lm – a head torch for home use (lighting in the cellar, attic, or while repairing a car).
100–400 lm – for outdoor use (night running, cycling, camping).
Over 400 lm – for extreme professions and sports (rescue workers, climbers).
