Mikov Raptor silver

Mikov Raptor silver
The Mikov Raptor follows the iconic Mikov Mackie front-firing model from the 1970s, which became one of the most famous knives of Czechoslovakian manufacture. It combines durable high-tech materials, sophisticated ergonomics and technical precision that will delight both collectors and professional users looking for maximum reliability. The distinctive design with a matt 440C tool steel blade with DLC coating looks elegant and inspires respect. The blade is characterised by its high hardness, excellent wear resistance and exceptionally long service life even in everyday use.

Scratch, corrosion and wear resistant blade
The basis of the Mikov Raptor knife is a precision-machined blade made of 440C tool steel, which is one of the favourite materials of professional knifemakers thanks to its excellent wear resistance and ability to hold the blade for a long time. This steel is hardened to a high hardness of 57-59 HRc, which means that the knife can cope with tough tasks without the need for frequent sharpening. With a length of 81 mm, a width of 16.5 mm and a thickness of 2.9 mm, the blade is ideally sized for precise and efficient cuts for everyday use and specific tasks in the field. The highlight of the construction is the DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, which not only gives the blade an elegant matte look, but also significantly increases its resistance to scratches, corrosion and general wear.

With titanium ejection mechanism
One of the most striking features of the Mikov Raptor is its ejection mechanism, which is made entirely of titanium, a material commonly used in the aerospace industry or in medicine due to its extraordinary properties. Titanium is an extremely strong yet lightweight metal that retains structural stability even under high stress, resists corrosion and is virtually immune to material fatigue. In the context of a knife, this means that the ejection mechanism works perfectly reliably even after many years of use, without the need for maintenance or the worry of wear and tear. The knife opens quickly, accurately and safely, just by lightly pressing the side button, which is easily accessible even when wearing gloves or working in harsh environments. Thanks to the titanium construction, the mechanism is not only extremely durable, but also very light.

Anodised handle
The Mikov Raptor knife handle is precision crafted from duralumin, a strong yet lightweight aluminium alloy that is widely used in the aerospace and automotive industries thanks to its ideal weight-to-durability ratio. It gives the knife a solid construction without increasing its overall weight. The surface of the handle is anodized, has undergone electrochemical treatment to ensure increased resistance to scratches, oxidation and other environmental influences. Elox also gives the knife a sleek, modern look. Ergonomically shaped scissors ensure a safe and secure grip even when working for long periods or wearing gloves. There is also a practical 53 mm long pocket clip that can be easily adjusted to suit your preferences. Whether you want to carry the knife with the tip down or up, it will always be securely attached and quickly accessible.
