GIRO Fixture II MIPS Youth Mat Black/Vivid Green

The Giro Fixture II MIPS Youth children's bike helmet brings features from adult models to the world of young cyclists. The construction uses In-mould technology, which firmly bonds the polycarbonate shell with the inner EPS foam. The key safety feature is MIPS technology for increased protection against rotational forces during an impact. Thanks to the Roc Loc Sport fit system, the helmet fits perfectly and is easy to adjust. The extended profile at the rear provides better protection for the nape of the neck, which is great for adventurous off-road rides.

Durable construction with advanced protection

The helmet uses an In-mould construction, which involves injecting EPS foam directly into the polycarbonate shell. This creates a strong and lightweight unit that effectively absorbs energy upon impact. Safety is further enhanced by MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) technology. This is a slip-plane liner between the EPS shell and the inner padding. In the event of an angled impact, this layer allows the shell to rotate slightly independently of the head, thereby reducing the rotational forces that would otherwise be transferred to the brain. The extended profile at the rear provides increased protection for the nape of the neck.

Comfort and effective ventilation

To ensure a perfect fit, the helmet is equipped with the Roc Loc Sport fit system. The size can be easily adjusted using a dial that can be comfortably operated with one hand. Thermal comfort is provided by 16 ventilation holes, which ensure air circulation and keep the head cool even on a challenging ride. The inner quick-drying Coolmax pads are removable, so you can wash them at any time. The pads also have an antibacterial treatment that reduces odours.

Practical details for every ride

The Giro Fixture II MIPS Youth helmet also considers the practical details that make every ride more enjoyable. It includes a removable Snap-Fit 2 visor that protects the eyes from sun, rain, or flying debris from the road. To increase safety at dusk or in poor light conditions, the helmet features reflective elements for better visibility. With a total weight of just 315 grams, the helmet does not strain the cervical spine and is comfortable even during longer wear.
