The Garmont Dragontail LT Evo men's low trekking boots are designed for technical hiking, rock climbing and via ferrata. The construction combines durable suede leather with protective features to ensure durability on tough rocky terrain. The shoe uses an anatomically shaped fit and a specialized Vibram outsole that provides stability and grip on dry and wet surfaces.
Construction of the Garmont Dragontail LT Evo trekking shoe upper
The base of the upper is suede leather with a thickness of 1.6 to 1.8 mm treated with a waterproof PFC-free treatment. The material retains the breathability necessary for active movement in summer and transitional periods. To increase mechanical resistance in the dirt and on rocks, the perimeter of the shoe is equipped with a rubber boot and a reinforced toe to protect the leather from abrasion. The precise fit of the foot is made possible by climbing shoe-inspired lacing that runs all the way to the toe and the Heel Lock system that fixes the heel and prevents unwanted movement. The overall shape is based on the technology and. l. l. (Anatomically Directed Design), which respects the natural asymmetry of the human foot.
Outsole and cushioning system
Contact with the ground is mediated by the Vibram sole with Megagrip compound, which ensures high grip on smooth rocks and loose terrain. The EVA microporous foam midsole effectively absorbs shock during pedaling and reduces foot fatigue during prolonged walking. The interior space is complemented by a removable Ortholite Ultra insole that promotes air circulation and wicks away moisture. The outsole stiffness is optimized to provide support on small steps during climbing passages while allowing comfortable walking on paved paths.
