The AUTHOR Saber X1 cycling helmet is a versatile choice for adult cyclists looking for safe and well-ventilated protection for riding in the city and off-road. Thanks to In-mould technology, which fuses a polycarbonate shell with an inner EPS liner, the helmet achieves high strength while maintaining a very low weight of 250g. The Author DialFit retention system allows for easy size adjustment for a head circumference of 53 to 59cm. Comfort is ensured by the antibacterial and quick-drying padding, along with a sophisticated ventilation system.

In-mould Construction for High Safety

The helmet is based on a modern In-mould construction, where expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam is injected directly into the polycarbonate shell. This creates a solid and uniform unit that effectively absorbs impact energy while reducing the overall weight. Safety is further confirmed by the helmet's compliance with the EN 1078:2012 + A1:2012 standard. For better visibility in low-light conditions, the helmet is fitted with reflective elements.

Comfort and Effective Ventilation

Thermal comfort is provided by a system of 11 vents that ensure smooth airflow. The three large front vents are also protected by a net to prevent insects from getting in. The inner X-fit pads have an antibacterial treatment, dry quickly, and can be easily removed and washed.
