Realistic reproduction of point sources
The lens incorporates two AA (Advanced Aspherical) elements and three ED extra-low dispersion glass elements to minimize front-to-back flare, so that point light sources are reproduced accurately and without colour blur.
XD linear motors for autofocus and tracking
Two linear XD (eXtreme Dynamic) motors keep pace with the fast features of the latest cameras, allowing you to take full advantage of the autofocus speed and tracking capability to capture dynamic subjects. The Algorithms enable smooth and lag-free control of a group of focusing elements in the lens, thus providing quiet and responsive autofocusing with low vibration.

Except for the focal length of 20 mm, which is great for taking selfies, the lens offers a minimum focusing distance of just 0.19 metres in autofocus mode, and as little as 0.18 metres when manually focusing. The focus lock button, focus mode switch, aperture ring and other controls allow for easy and smooth operation.
