Like all products in the SD range, the SAFESCAN SD-4617S cash drawer is made of sturdy material. Its robust steel casing, solid steel lid, impact-resistant latch mechanism and shatterproof PVC tray are designed to meet the needs of medium-traffic retail environments, schools, office coffee corners and club canteens. It guarantees a minimum of 1 million trouble-free open/close cycles. Its narrow form factor allows for easy use in any environment, whether the operator is sitting or standing. The thoroughly tested lid flips up to a full 80° for easy access without bending or twisting.

Customisable Layout
Despite its compact depth, the SAFESCAN SD-4617S drawer holds the same amount of banknotes and coins as larger cash drawers. 6 adjustable banknote slots and 8 coin cups keep all your notes, small change and tokens neatly organised in one place. A spacious media slot provides plenty of room to store coupons, credit card slips and other non-cash transaction media.
Maximum Flexibility, Maximum Security
The SAFESCAN SD-4617S is equipped with a robust two-position lock and a standard RJ-12 outlet to maximise ease of use without compromising security. Set the drawer to open automatically via your cash register or printer, or open it manually. An RJ-12 cable is included for easy integration into your existing point-of-sale system. You can maximise speed and security during shift changes by adding the optional 4617T cash tray and 4617L lockable lid (not included).
Use with SAFESCAN 6165 / 6175 for the Fastest Possible Cash Count
Simply lift the entire tray from the SAFESCAN SD-4617S cash drawer and use the feature-packed 6165 or 6175 money counting scale to count its entire contents, from coins to coupons, in just a few minutes. If you use the optional 4617CC removable coin cups, the count will be even faster. Simply place each coin cup directly on the 6165 or 6175 and weigh. No calibration is necessary. From start to finish in two minutes (mentioned accessories not included).
