Buy if you are a battery factory owner. You will change them every 3 weeks max. There is no need to shine so often. I don't drive that many times in the dark with a baby. So new batteries are needed for each use. Whatever you put in there, you'll be replacing with new ones in no time. I don't understand the point of switching the on/off button on the back of the mirror, where it's absolutely inaccessible if you have it attached to the armrest. Complaint not acknowledged. A total useless product with a feature you won't use. I definitely don't recommend buying if you want to use the illuminating function and don't want to complicatedly turn the mirror on and off in an absolutely inaccessible place.

The control is only for light intensity (3 light modes - off, weak and strong). But it only works when the mirror is set to ON on the back. If you are in OFF mode, the controller will not help. If you leave it on nonstop, the battery lasts less than 14 days.
You have to set the position manually. But otherwise we are very satisfied. The mirror doesn't sweat and is really big, you can see beautifully in it. Adjustable however we need.
And there are 2 anchoring straps, so it also holds beautifully and does not shake at all.
