I tried cutting a 60x60cm tile 9mm thick. It wasn't even glazed.
The first fault is the ruler, which even after tightening has a slight play and with this size of tile it is already noticeable. The cutting wheel then does not make the same cut twice and each time there was a difference of 1-2mm.
The worst is the cutting - either a broken or unbroken corner every time. Or the tiles didn't split at all.
Totally wasted money and never again.

originally bought a cheap one from the hardware store and then realized it did not cut well and actually destroyed most of the tiles I tried to cut (super expensive tiles!!!). then bough tthis one and it did the job very well. Result was a nicely tiled kitchen backwall, and a happy wife :)

It took me a while to understand how to cut with it. It must not be pushed or banged quickly, just a slight push and the tile will crack on its own. If it's done too quickly, it tends to break off corners
The aluminium ruler is too convex and if you are not careful when sharpening it, you can hit it with the wheel (it is aluminium, so it is not hard)
