I really liked the fountain (see pros and cons below), but my cat did not. Despite all our efforts and persuasion, he refused to drink from it. I gave up after 3 days. I had to return the fountain. Still, I give it five stars. Due to the whims of my cat, the quality of the fountain has not deteriorated.

I recommend this fountain. Our kitten immediately showed interest and started drinking and she drinks constantly. I like that it's motion activated and doesn't waste water like a regular fountain. We change the water once a week though it's much tastier for the kitten. You also need to monitor the water level to make sure it doesn't get too low otherwise the motor that pulls the water up make a loud noise so you just have to top it up. We have another cat who comes to us regularly she also drinks from it with pleasure
