I would definitely recommend the mi box, although again extra cables, but it works briskly. Or something completely different, which preferably has the possibility of LAN connection, I recommend this especially in apartments. Cable is cable, WiFi in the apartment sucks, slow transfer speeds, etc. Mi box works even on poor quality, slow tv

Originally, this was the perfect method to "make the TV smart" but the Xiaomi TV Stick starts to heat up slightly after just a few uses. Then the whole device slows down and after a couple of factory resets it didn't help.
Today, I'd rather recommend digging into your pocket a bit more and reaching for a Chromecast device directly from Google.
