I wouldn' t recommend it at all for 3-4 year olds. The swing has a rather large radius and the child has no way to get a good grip on it. I also do not recommend the swing in the presence of two similarly aged children. One sits, the other swings, and it' s easy to get off the swing because the circle just bends easily.
