Whiskas pouches fall into the economy or ‘market’ category within the cat food sector. From the perspective of vets and animal nutritionists, this is an average to below-average cat food which, whilst cats find it very tasty, is nutritionally more akin to human ‘fast food’. Detailed analysis of the ingredients: Low net meat content: Packaging often states, for example, “with chicken (4 %)”. This does not mean that the pouch contains only 4 per cent meat, but that chicken accounts for only 4 per cent of all the meat ingredients used. The overall proportion of meat and animal products in the pieces is usually low. Animal by-products: The ingredients list often refers to unspecified meat derivatives. These may include the less valuable parts of the animals (skins, bones, offal). Cereals and sugars: The pouches contain fillers, wheat flour and added sugars. However, cats are strict carnivores and do not need carbohydrates in this form. High palatability: They contain flavour enhancers that make cats love Whiskas and can lead to them becoming addicted to it. Consequently, they then turn their noses up at higher-quality tinned meat. Unfortunately, I have to give at least one star, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to rate it.
I’ve been feeding this ****** cat for nearly 9 years

For a long time, they didn’t want the cats, but suddenly, when a neighbour brought them some as a gesture of kindness, they started to prefer Wiskas.

I probably wouldn't give it to show cats, but for ordinary house cats - totally OK.
Cats like these pouches quite a lot.
The cats like it because it's flavoured and aromatic, when you look at the nutritional composition - no miracle.
