The mug is beautiful, just what I was looking for, suitable for going to work but also for a short trip. In a backpack or purse it must stand. It seals well, but a few drops may leak out when you put it down. It holds the temperature of the drink. If you are looking for a truly 100% leak-proof container, then a classic thermos is preferable. The mug has a drinking hole on the lid, which closes with a "stopper"
