Solar charging works, but you need to take into account the size of the panel, the rate of approximately 1% in 45-60 min in the area of around 50-60%

Robust rubberised construction
I have to complain about it, it shuts down before charging the phone. After plugging into the USB for charging, the lamp sometimes starts to glow dimly.

solar really charges the battery, even if it takes time
beware of bad pieces (the tiny diode has to be lit/charged all the time when there is enough light)
the diode is too drowned, one looks basically into the dirk to see it shining
