I have this dock connected to my desktop computer and it disconnects and reconnects extremely frequently – easily 20 times an hour – even though I haven’t got anything connected to it apart from the USB-C cable to the PC, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to have the dock’s 100W power supply connected as well, but even so, it shouldn’t be disconnecting this often when it’s hardly using any of its inputs or outputs.

The cable is short; I’d recommend buying a USB-C extension cable
After a while with Macbook both M1 and M3 stops loading external drives (purchased 2x and both behave the same). I have to reconnect, disconnect and restart the computer several times to get the disks to load. These are both SSDs and HDDs. I work with big data, I don't know if it could be related.

Vention is good value for money, you just occasionally come across a bad piece. The previous one was coming apart for example, nothing terrible but I prefer to point it out.
