A lot of bang for your buck. When connected to a power source, like a phone adapter, and the volume is turned halfway up, a faint 50Hz buzz and slight hiss can be heard. This is a fault of poorly filtered chargers. When running on the internal battery, the output is almost hiss-free and completely without any hum. The sound quality is high. Connected to a Sony TA-FB920QS amplifier.

If the device had security sorted for pairing devices, along with automatic pairing with already paired devices so that they connect automatically whenever they are in range, and if the device didn't keep turning itself off as soon as I disconnect, it would be the perfect Bluetooth receiver. As it is, I must also criticise the completely inadequate product description and its features, which unpleasantly surprised me, even though I sent Alza a specific question about how these things are handled. As a result, the device is not very suitable for my use. Although, I do very much appreciate that both audio outputs work at the same time.

Sometimes you have to turn it off and on again for it to pair. Alza support claimed that it would last permanently in standby mode if connected to the mains.
