The web interface is simply AMAZING! Great design, clear, modern and yet professional
I like Ubiquiti products, mainly because of their management, administration and so on.
If a RAID 1 configuration is enough for you – that is, if you’re planning to have a 1:1 drive setup for backup purposes – then you can definitely go for this NAS with a clear conscience and you’ll be delighted
However, I’m returning the product anyway, mainly because their UNAS 2 and UNAS 4 apparently only ever allow hard drives to be configured in RAID 1 mode – and nothing else!
So even if you wanted to, at your own risk, do something like, for example, 8TB + 8TB – you won’t be able to have 16TB at home from two drives; this NAS won’t let you.
And it’s not a question of their firmware; Ubiquiti has stated explicitly on its official website that it will not be adding any other RAID configurations for these models.

I've only had it a few hours so far, but so far one big disappointment: ( The NAS looks beautiful, so far it seems to be quite quiet, the display is a nice feature, but that's about where all the positives end. The user interface is typical UI, but it is not suitable for NAS. Anything you set up is a penalty, and there are only very basic settings available for most things. It's not really worth the money.
I think I'll leave it to my parents to back up the photos and look for something more adult.
