The first impression is not much, it is a light cheap plastic, I would have liked if the alarm clock had a better quality and heavier impression. But gradually I was pleased with the features and decided to keep it.
The display glows dimly at night, so you can still see the time, but it doesn't dazzle. If you press Snooze, it lights up intensely. The wake up sound is bearable, I put these separate alarm clocks further away from my bed to force me to get out so it's not so loud that it bothers me but at the same time it actually wakes me up. It's kind of that accelerating beeping sound.
What is really a downside of the display its poor readability at many angles. But I put my alarm clock on a shelf right at eye level when I'm standing, so it's perfectly legible and I check the time on it many times a day.
I've read a lot of criticism in reviews about the alarm setting, which I disagree with. Those who are of average ability and know the English words MIN and HOUR have no problem to set it up easily at first, and then very quickly get used to controlling the alarm clock "blindly" with their fingers on the back - I have no problem with that at all.
I am generally happy with my purchase because I no longer have an IROX alarm clock like I used to have, which after about 11 years started to have one really bad button. But it's not worth more than the 300 crowns.
