Purchased for home use. It reliably eliminates flies and mosquitoes; we haven't had any other critters at home yet, so I can't comment on those. At dusk or after dark, it reliably attracts and eliminates all insects. Its effectiveness is lower in the light, as it's not as much of a beacon for flies, but even so, it significantly reduces their population. The zap that hits the insect is quite powerful and therefore loud. It's a fair old crack, so in a room where you sleep, you could probably only use the device with earplugs. The loud zap isn't a fault of the product, it's just the way electric shock extermination works and you can't cheat physics. It's the price you pay for the fact that it will even eliminate a sturdy fly, whereas some less powerful devices are, at best, only sufficient for a fruit fly or a mosquito.
Reliably kills insects.
The light is strong enough to attract most insects even in normal lighting.
A strong enough electric discharge to eliminate even larger and more resilient insects
A very loud discharge when killing insects. You can't really call it a fault, the discharge is simply always audible, but this makes it problematic to use in rooms where people are sleeping.

It looks effective.
lightweight, compact, stable.
Two striking blue tubes that aren’t at all dazzling.
When she shot the first mosquito, the bang was so loud I thought it’d blown the fuses. The bang is around 80 dB; it drowns out loud speech and a loud radio.
You really can’t sleep with this going on; I’d be twitching by morning.
I bought the item BRAND NEW, but the box arrived with tape over it and had clearly been opened.
