after a time of use, I will add to the experience - I would not buy the phone again, the positives remain, it is small, it is nice to hold, it is nice, it has a super display, the battery really lasts three days (with handsfree in the car and occasional trips, I basically do not need to charge at home) but - it has things that have not happened to me for a long time - the weak and old processor is really known - the finger reader sometimes works sometimes it is angry, sometimes I have to try all the fingers that it accidentally reads - it gets stuck - sometimes bluetooth crashes (so my sony headphones refuse to connect) - I've had to reboot the phone to get it to "recover" - bluetooth range is poor, I can't keep the phone in my pants pocket to listen to headphones, because the connection constantly drops out (and this did not happen with my previous phone) I bought it because of the camera, mainly because of the 2x telephoto lens - in principle the camera did not disappoint me, the photos match my expectations - but again the processor interferes - the delay between taking a photo and saving the photo is really long, unexpectedly long

Ignoring the fact that the manufacturer put a not very powerful processor in the phone, which often led to annoying interface stuttering, either when opening menus or browsing the web, the phone was quite warm during the initial setup and copying data from the old device.
I thought it was normal for some smartphones, but later it turned out that the phone has overheating problems. He refused to run e.g. the camera, telling me to wait for the phone to cool down, or refusing to launch other apps because of the temperature drop.
Maybe it was a defect of the piece, but since the phone was able to react to the increased temperature somehow and still announced it with a system message, it would not be a defect, but a feature, so I returned it to the seller and chose another brand.

I've never had a more horrible phone. And I have a soft spot for Sony because my first smartphone was an Xperia and I'm an audio enthusiast. Before I bought the phone, I picked for a hooooooooooong time and this was the shortest match I could pull. When reviewers write pro reviews, they use the phone for barely a few hours and release it as soon as possible after the phone is launched, i.e. a couple of hours. But the best thing with the phone starts after a few days of use - it jams, it's slow, the fingerprint reader works about once in five attempts, on the contrary, the phone unlocks itself occasionally, the display in the sun is absolutely unreadable, and if you want to pay with your phone, the first obstacle is to unlock it right away (people in the queue behind you are already nervous and you are sweaty to the ground), not all card readers accept the payment, so you end up pulling out your card anyway, but God forbid that you had it locked, because before you get to your bank's app, you'll make a dent and other customers in the queue will lynch you in the meantime. The phone is so mega slow that even a 5 years older Huawei is a lightning bolt against it (which by the way hasn't jammed once in those 5 years! ). But the real hell starts when you fill at least 0.5 GB of memory. You start to get the "wait or quit app" message (see photo) periodically, even if you do nothing, and when you close it, it pops up after about 10 seconds. And that's hell, because you can't even write a message, or load any app, etc.
The camera isn't as great as people write, a close up won't make a photo of a flower sharp even if you stand on your head. The flashlight is perhaps the only plus, but it's really not enough. The compact size and lightness of the phone are fine, but it's not that big a difference compared to other mobiles. So put your feet on your shoulders and don't invest your hard earned 10k in this crap at any cost!

I chose Sony as a competitor for the selected HTC.
Xperia pleasantly surprised with much better software and customisation options. Holds well, controls are +/- in place.
What disappoints is the display, or rather the overall dimensions. While other phones are "paddle", Sony has bet on the "tartan" shape here. The diagonal, frequency, or panel have very positive values.
The camera, although not dazzling, takes average photos, the controls are fast and intuitive.
The speakers are probably the strongest point of the phone, they sound very good.
What is not pleasing is the lack of wireless charging.
The absence of a notification LED is a minus.
And the default setting of the power button to the assistant button is just nonsense The phone is inconvenient when watching movies or working in landscape, including typing text on the keyboard.
For the price (10 990kč), I would rate the phone as an adequate replacement for an aging smartphone for absolutely undemanding users.
Unfortunately, I was expecting something a little different.

I am very satisfied with the phone. It's fast, has everything I need and lasts a long time charged. It has a slot for one nano SIM and one SD card. The second card, as an eSIM, works just fine.
I was a bit puzzled by the rear plastic cover, which is really plastic and it is recognizable by feel and tapping. The second disadvantage is the camera, which I expected better from Sony. But it can still be done.
I like the almost pure new Android, which is not overpaid with custom apps, like Samsung.
