I've had a comparison with JBL headphones for the last while and I have to say that Sony surprised me very pleasantly. They're totally awesome at this price point. Sound balanced, nice bass, well working ANC. All necessary functions are available via the headphones' touch controls (volume, track switching and ANC control). In an app that has a sometimes quite long response time, you only need one setting at the beginning and then, unlike JBL, it is not needed for normal use. ANC obviously doesn't filter out everything, but the headphones have good passive attenuation as well so ambient noise is at least very muted if not completely eliminated.
