The Sencor SMC BS10 speakers offer wonderful and surprisingly full sound on a budget, clearly better than a typical soundbar although not as bass heavy as a true 2.1 setup. They work best with HDMI ARC because they turn on and off with the TV and the TV remote controls the volume. I set both treble and bass knobs to maximum and the sound stayed clean and lively, as long as the TV output was set to PCM. As Bluetooth or PC speakers they would be frustrating because there is no remote control and all buttons for source, volume, treble and bass are placed on the back. For ARC use they are excellent and for anything else they are inconvenient.
Very good sound quality for the price and clearly better than a typical soundbar.
Works perfectly with HDMI ARC and integrates smoothly with the TV for power and volume control.
Clean and lively sound when treble and bass are set to maximum, especially with PCM output.
No remote control, which makes everyday adjustments inconvenient.
All controls are placed on the back, so using them as Bluetooth or PC speakers becomes annoying.
Bass performance is decent but not as strong as a proper 2.1 system.

Reasonable performance and sound for the money
Large type of different inputs
They automatically go into standby mode after prolonged inactivity and can only be switched on with the button on the speaker. Also verified by technicians, it cannot be deactivated in any way: -(. This feature is not documented anywhere in the manuals!

I wonder which mind wipe thought up the idea that the active speakers would automatically turn off. Because it's great to sit down in front of the TV, turn it on, then get up, and go turn on the speakers. It's supremely orgastic to climb a ladder to the suspended speakers so one can turn them on, EVERY X HOURS. Bomb.
Sounds pretty good.
Traditional look.
AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF after a certain period of inactivity. It is then necessary to switch them on again manually. I'll be returning them because of this "money saving gadget", it's scrap.
The automatic shut-off function cannot be switched off.
