As a technician who works with laptops and small electronics on a daily basis, I rate the VOREL watch screwdriver set (CrV TO-64396) as a practical and useful tool for service work with small screws. The quality of the CrV (chrome-vanadium) material is a definite plus - the screwdrivers feel strong and durable, do not bend under normal use, and resist repeated insertion and removal of screws well. This is essential with laptops because you are working with very delicate and sensitive joints where you don't want the tips to "run" or damage the screw head. The handles are ergonomically shaped and fit well in the hand, so even when I hold the tool for long periods of time while screwing small electronics, it doesn't press into my palm and the work is precise. The tip sizes in the set cover the common screw types I encounter in notebooks - small Phillips, flat and precision screws, so I don't have to combine different sets of tools. What I also appreciate is that the individual pieces are clearly arranged in the holder, so I can find them quickly and do not have to waste time looking for them during the intervention. In terms of frequent use in the field or in the workshop, the set is robust and long-lasting. Let me sum it up simply: The VOREL TO-64396 is a solid set of watchmaker's screwdrivers that does exactly what it's supposed to do - allow you to work accurately and safely with small screws on laptops and other small devices. It is a reliable and affordable tool for service technicians and DIYers who are dealing with the disassembly and assembly of small components.
A disaster for me, especially the missing T7 (combined with other inconveniences)
It works
There is a tweezer in the package for some reason (but I' m not complaining)
It cannot be opened from the original plastic packaging (you would either have to peel off the stuck-on plastic with all your might) or, as I did, cut it from the back with scissors.
The case is greasy (probably from WD-40), so immediately after opening it, you will be greeted by an unpleasant greasy mess on your hands, which can only be washed off with a ton of soap.
The case has stains inside (I assume also from WD-40)
You will have to stack the bits in the holes yourself, because they don' t work there at all, so it is guaranteed that they will arrive scattered (I don' t blame the paint) (at least you will be able to organize it yourself) and if you don' t want to scatter them, you will have to be very careful (if there if you want order, forget about running fast)
For that price, I think there could have been one more screwdriver in there.
The screwdriver feels like (very) cheap plastic, and it' s hard to hold (unlike others)
There are 32 bits, but only 30 holes for them (So you should probably keep one in the screwdriver and the other in your pocket (but the screwdriver with the bit won' t fit in the briefcase) maybe it' s a metaphor that you should give 2 bits to charity or I don' t know. Oh wait, there are only 31 bits.
The missing T7 is not mentioned in the alza description (and it was also mentioned in another review), but it is written on the packaging and the picture.
