Overall, this type of film is harder to apply than hard glass, but it is much less error-prone. It's no problem to peel it off, spray it with liquid and try again. It should be allowed to "cure", directly after application the surface is "rubbery". after curing, it is pleasant to the touch and the finger glides well. I would use it on a deformed mobile, or in a similar unusual application. I'd use a different type of slide on a new phone.
