Probably a tax that they put 8 speeds on such a short pitch. Hopefully a chain guide will help, or a few miles and the chain will loosen and not be so tight and allow slack. At worst, it ensures a claim.
Not to be pejorative, for 5,5k on sale on Alza it's a blast. Every boy's dream. It's really worth the few hours of work. You can't even buy a decent second-hand car for that kind of money.
