After upgrading from the older Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) model, I can only recommend the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, as the watch has moved a step forward in every respect. As soon as you put it on for the first time, you'll notice the weight and material of the silicone strap, which I find much better on the new watch. The display is much brighter, there are a few new features, and the battery life is better. The new model in the dark grey version comes with a black strap, so I immediately ordered an orange one as well, which I think looks best with the watch.
After 4 years, I decided to replace my beloved Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Following a series of upgrades, the watch's speed had slowed down to a level I no longer found acceptable, although it still performed satisfactorily in other areas. I was looking for a watch for a man's wrist, with a higher degree of durability and fitness functions. Conversely, I wasn't looking for something small that I could use for sleep monitoring, which I have sorted out to my great satisfaction with another member of the Samsung family – the ring. And given the extensive ecosystem, I was looking within Samsung's range – so I suppose it couldn't have turned out any other way.
Overall workmanship - a really high-quality timepiece which, despite its size, is surprisingly wearable - meaning, considering its weight.
Battery life - a huge improvement on previous generations - no problem getting 3 days with all features enabled and the Always On display - with a little effort I think 5 days won't be an issue

Absolutely satisfied so far. Excellent build quality, high-quality materials. Longer battery life compared to previous models. Comfortable to wear. Everyone can choose a watch face from the selection available. The main disadvantage is the longer charging time, and you also need to be careful about the size, as it might not fit smaller wrists due to its size.

This is my first smartwatch. I have to say, after some time, I'm enjoying discovering a new device again and finding out what it can do. One of the main reasons for getting it was the fact that I don't like carrying my phone with me on holiday, but on the other hand, I want to have the time, navigation, and the option to make an emergency call. I also appreciate the certification that this watch has. It's just a shame that the Samsung notes app isn't in the app store and I had to switch to an alternative. The Facebook Messenger app would also be useful, but that can be sorted with notifications from my mobile.

The watch is attractive and comfortable to wear. The wide strap is easy to fasten and the weight isn't too bad. It's just a shame the battery life isn't at least half that of a Garmin, for example. The controls are intuitive and convenient, and the watch is suitable for both sports and everyday wear. For the gym, there's no comprehensive app where you can just switch between exercise and rest; each exercise has to be started separately, and when you move on to another exercise, you have to find that specific exercise and start it again.

It's missing a multi-gym function, you have to activate each exercise separately.
It's a decent evolution of the original models, they're more comfortable on the wrist and technically have a better battery, chip, a display with increased brightness, and enhanced durability, plus they've added official support for diving.
However, the specs list the battery life in hours as being exactly the same as the original model, and not everyone will likely make use of the diving with equipment feature - and some functionality and details are hidden behind a subscription. But it's nice to know that they're explicitly designed with water in mind. OneUI9 is snappy and looks nice.
They allow you to charge the battery to only 90% - a nice touch, although few people will probably use it.
The new strap is comfortable, but Samsung hasn't changed the fastening, so the bands are easily replaceable and interchangeable. For me, it's a pleasant upgrade. However, it's not a must-buy for owners of the original model, which can do most of the same things and will also get the software upgrade. The choice between the 2025 version and the new model is therefore mainly about price.

Even though the battery is stronger, it won't be a significant improvement. The watch still lasts three days at most (Samsung praised it and it is stronger, but it's “up to 60 hours” - which the original ones were too).
This is purely personal – I wear them reversed on my right hand, so I have the number six at the top.
The new watch faces are interesting, but I'd probably prefer it if the compass wasn't in the middle.
I'm basically satisfied with the watch, everything works as it should. The system runs completely smoothly, the display is perfectly readable even in direct sunlight and overall it has a premium build quality feel. The only thing you need to get used to is the size – the watch body is really very big and looks quite massive on the wrist. But other than that, everything is essentially fine.
I replaced my drowned Watch 5 Pro with this watch, which had served me well until then, so I hadn't originally considered replacing it at all. I chose the Ultra 2 mainly for its seamless communication with my Samsung phone, battery life, and durability.
When it comes to looks, that's obviously a subjective opinion. Personally, I find the watch interesting, I'd just prefer a slightly wider strap given the size of the watch body. A rotating bezel or an action button would, in my opinion, definitely push the watch's rating a bit higher. I don't know why Samsung didn't add these features from the previous version. Touch controls and scrolling aren't always practical.
For the strap, I'd prefer the magnetic clasp like on the Watch 5 Pro, mainly for more precise size adjustment.
The display is bright and easily readable even in direct sunlight. The watch, in combination with a Samsung phone, has plenty of functions and modes for my needs. Pairing the watch and loading the settings backup went without the slightest problem. The watch can't be charged by the mobile, but I hardly ever used this feature with the previous one anyway.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 looks premium. It's fast and responsive. The options are broader if it's paired with a Samsung phone. The range of sports features is quite extensive. It can be used without a phone if you have an e-SIM card. The navigation could do with some improvement. Charging takes a very long time.
