I've dried beef, turkey, apples, pears, bananas and oranges, all with no problems. I also dry overnight when I'm at work, etc. and the dryer works reliably. I haven't used any other than the basic payers, but it's nice that they're there. I wanted a rectangular shape (more practical for me). I recommend it.
