The fan is very good, and the ventilation itself works brilliantly even at lower speeds. There are a total of 6 power settings available; unless it’s particularly hot, the 3rd setting is more than enough. At the highest speed, 6th gear, the power is really noticeable – it can even cause very light objects, such as small pieces of paper, to be blown about. Operating the device using the remote control is simple and intuitive. The lamp itself is large, and there are 48 high-quality LEDs under the shade, which provide excellent light. However, I think the main problem lies precisely in the lampshade. Once it has been inserted into the light fixture in accordance with the instructions, the brightness is significantly reduced – by an estimated 50 per cent. Furthermore, returning this type of product can be complicated, as minor wear and tear or damage to the fitting components – such as wall plugs or metal parts – may occur during installation when they are tightened to the ceiling bracket. I eventually solved the problem by making my own modification – replacing it with a thinner shade that lets through significantly more light, around 90 per cent, whilst still not causing any glare. I think the manufacturer should also consider a similar solution. I would also recommend that the inner part of the light – that is, the housing containing the LEDs – be finished in a matt white colour. That would reflect light better. In the standard version, this part is painted black, which, in my opinion, unnecessarily absorbs some of the light output. Overall, it is a very good fan with excellent performance, but the lighting component could do with some design improvements, particularly regarding the shade and the interior surface of the light.
