I bought this to better secure a burglarized basement cubicle. The chain is quite massive and strong (of course, if someone put in the work, they could probably get through it, but it' s probably enough to stop some random rascal with cleavers), I just struggled a bit with how to thread it on the lock to be locked. The trick is that one of the links of the chain must be " turned" so that it is pulled over the piece of the lock where the eye fits, the other is then free. Then it' s quite easy. I am attaching a photo in case anyone else is struggling with this: -)
