After years of using Amazon Kindle, I switched to PocketBook and I have no regrets: more cost-effective, with fewer ads and intrusive marketing, with a wide range of book uploading options (finally, the absolutely essential USB cable upload option is not missing! ). Functionally, it is comparable to the competition. Battery life is also about the same.
I consider the lack of a normal paper manual to be a weakness: after the first start-up, the controls are not intuitive and the QuickStart manual is almost useless. On the other hand, I welcome the wide range of control settings in the device itself, it just takes a click to get there.
