I really like the deep-fat fryer and I’m absolutely delighted with it. Baking without any added fat is very easy, and the food comes out beautifully crispy. It’s big enough even for a large family, and I can cook the main course and the side dish at the same time. It doesn’t take up much space on the worktop, as the bins are neatly stacked one on top of the other. The only thing is, the cooking-complete alert could be a bit louder. Otherwise, though, I’m absolutely delighted with the hot-air fryer and would definitely recommend it. And thank you very much for the speedy delivery.

We used to have an older hot-air fryer, but it wasn’t big enough for us. This one is perfectly suited to the needs of a family of four – it’s taller and longer than it is wide, so it fits nicely on the kitchen worktop. It’s very easy to use – you can configure both baskets separately or synchronise their settings. The cooking is even and consistent with my experience of my previous Philips deep fryer. Although the two baskets are larger, they fit into the dishwasher almost as easily as a single basket from a smaller deep-fat fryer.

I am very satisfied, we have had the fryer for a short time, but it bakes well, quickly and evenly. I was considering the "lay flat" option, which has one basket bigger, so it's not a problem to bake a whole chicken in it, but in the end we chose this one mainly because it doesn't take up so much space on the counter. We tried roasting a 1.4 kg chicken and it fit just right. It bakes well even fries, both homemade and frozen, and we had no problem with even a small cake and "snails" from puff pastry, everything baked beautifully and did not burn from the top. The only thing I'd criticise is the low volume of the beep to remind you to shake or turn the baked food, because you can't hear it that well over the noise of the baking if you're not sitting right next to it, and it's a shame it doesn't have an app where you can track the progress of the baking, get those reminders, or set the temperature.
