Unfortunately, the drives never turn off after shutting down/unplugging the Mac and keep spinning, which I think is the biggest problem with this box!
The front panel must be unscrewed to install the discs. and then hitting the screws back into the holes is not exactly easy. So the box is not suitable for frequent disc changes.
The plastic disc drawers reliably prevent heat from escaping into the aluminium construction.
