Could be worse, but doesn't really do the job properly. I returned it because of the poor design. You could choose to cut the clamps off and I'm sure it would work much better, but at that point I'll just make my own.
Made out of metal
The clamps used to widen the grip (in order to fit it over the mic) touch the base and the flexible cord, so the mic isn't able to move a lot and vibrations are transferred
