I bought an R9 with a TSW steering wheel (first truck steering wheel. which is mass-produced). I was switching from a Thrustmaster T-GT II and a Logitech G25. Honestly, the G25 was the first " better" steering wheel. Today, " G" is just such a simple gateway to the world of steering wheels. I was very disappointed with the T-GT. Rougher turning (for the fact that it is the most expensive model (for this manufacturer) in the indirect belt drive category, it has quite a " toothy" turning). Not even FFB was who knows what kind. R9 offers FFB quite similar to reality. For example, it centers itself during a turn - the centering is quite accurate. None of the previous steering wheels could do it; they did center, but quickly and strongly, rather unrealistically. The R9 centers itself according to the ride. When I slow down in a corner, the centering slows down and the power goes down. I start off faster, the steering wheel tends to add power in self-steering. Although R9 is not professional, Simucube will always be two levels higher, but Moza also offers a good experience. I think if you want a cheap direct drive then definitely Moza with R9. I do not dare to rate the R12, I have read many complaints that the cornering is more rough. On the other hand, it has a much more detailed FFB. It' s not just about power, but FFB even at low settings gives much more precise responses. And the higher " R" or other more expensive manufacturers have better ones. If you are a person who wants a reasonable base for good money and you don' t want a professional setup, then the R9 is a good choice. I personally have a truck steering wheel, and it' s incredible how smooth and precise steering I experience with it. Another indisputable advantage is the software. You can set almost everything there. Behavior curves, you can set the range of rotation (steering wheel has no HW restrictions), it is connected to a mobile, to which you can transfer new settings that will be reflected immediately without the need to restart the game. I also bought a TRUCK steering wheel holder for the steering wheel. Compared to the classic holder, the steering wheel is placed from the side and down. It hangs slightly tilted upside down towards the user. I' m sorry they only used a locking mechanism and didn' t drill a few holes at different pitches. I have the clamps attached to the thin metal bracket of my flat rack for such thicker steering wheels. It looks weird and I had to tighten everything extremely tight to keep it from moving. I' m not so sure. But it holds it firmly on the table. Now I would like to mention one problem. Unfortunately, the steering wheel disconnects here and there, sometimes often, for a few seconds. When you' re racing, it' s very uncomfortable. So far, my steering wheel has lasted an hour without disconnecting after turning off BT on my mobile. It is said that the steering wheel may be trying to log in to the mobile phone. Some report that only replacing the motherboard of a module helps. I' ve read about this problem so we' ll see if it goes away. There are a few more tips, but I haven' t tried them. Overall, I' m very satisfied, the R9 has minor flaws, but I believe it will be fixed. It is said that a future firmware update can help with disconnecting the steering wheel.
