Look, for this price on sale, I just had to buy it. The packaging is great, the manual is great. It's just the mapping – it leaves the station, you drive it around with your mobile like a toy car, you go around the garden and then an error – unclosed loop. When it is closed, it then asks you to create a path to the station and other such delights. So I ended up running around the garden 3 times. The metre limit is per zone, it can handle two zones, so easily 3200m2. There's just a catch, it's not a drop & move system, it needs a station in both zones, so unless you want to carry both the mower and the docking station, you need a second station for 5k. The wheels have an aggressive tread, so they tend to pick up cut grass, leaves, and doggy doo-dahs. You'll probably be cleaning them after every mow. If you have a flat garden, you don't have to worry about it, it runs fine anyway. The blades are double-sided and can be sharpened at home. The mower itself alerts you when individual components need maintenance. The Lidar works great, it just can't see dips – so if you have a dog like me that loves to dig in the ground, you might be pulling the mower out of a hole 4 times a day. It'll shred a tennis ball, but it avoids a toy car, as well as a football and the owner. The 3D garden scan is a mini-orgasm for geeks. All in all, for the 24k I paid, I think it's a pretty souped-up mower that has a few flaws and can handle a sloping terrain. With a second docking station, you're under 30k. Personally, it saves me about 3 hours a week, so it's ok. For the full price of 31k plus, though, I'd look elsewhere.
