Samsung Wired: Superfast charging
A really unpleasant, high-pitched buzzing/whirring sound (6 kHz) whilst charging: -( It’s not particularly loud, but I still don’t understand how they could have released this to the world
It really does take quite a long time to charge: 17:30 = 31%, 18:00 = 40%, i.e. barely 10% in half an hour, which works out at over 5 hours for a measly 10,000 mAh
Samsung Wireless: Fast charging (not Superfast)
When I tried (at 40% charge) to charge one Samsung via USB-C (only showing a weak ‘Charging’ indicator, as it was already 95% charged), via USB-A a fan (2W), and wirelessly – another Samsung – the device restarted several times and then suddenly switched off. When I pressed the button, it showed 0% charge. Once plugged into the socket, it charges steadily and slowly, i.e. It wasn’t just a controller reset (otherwise the original 40 per cent would have come back in no time), but an actual internal short circuit.
