For 10Gb/s in the home I recommend optical modules or DAC label, this metallic SFP+ module has a standard temperature of 65-70 degrees Celsius, even when not in use, even when used at 1gbps, probably also at 2.5gbps. In actively cooled Mikrotik switches (e.g. tested in CRS310 or CRS317) it means that even with only one RJ10 module the fan is running continuously.
In the passively cooled CRS305, 309, 318... surprisingly, according to the microsites, it can be used at full power under the conditions (S-RJ10+general+guidance).
