If you want native darker lenses and not transition lenses + you won't use the glasses indoors that often. but you want darker glasses natively and then outside often even look through glasses for example. to the mobile phone, the alternative is e.g. versions of dark glasses without polarization, e.g. G15 - but they don't have a matte frame. Transition glasses, i.e. this reviewed version of self-darkening glasses, do not darken outdoors in the sun as much as they are e.g. natively polyrized grey, or less dark G15, but the transition glasses are again more universal for all day use indoors and outdoors, the transition version of the glasses has no polarization, so they are OK even if you look through them on screens, eg. mobile (without any artifacts) So these transit lenses are probably the best compromise for all day -indoor and outdoor and without artifacts when looking at the screen.
