The item itself is made of softer plastic, but hopefully it will withstand the onslaught of the dryer. We bought the dryer from Gorenje (they don't have their own spacer, you have to buy a universal one), unfortunately the dryer doesn't fit on this spacer, the legs are 75% in the air, outside the area for the legs (we solved it with our own high quality double-sided tape and of course with the strap that is included). With the drawer inserted, hopefully it at least has something to sit on if needed.
