I bought a total of 8pcs and replaced all the 20 year old cranks at home with these cranks. The body of the handle is made of durable aluminium, as is the swivel plate that houses the mounting screws and into which the handle locks. The former handles were all plastic, so the screws anchored the plastic into the window hardware, and with frequent use, the plastic on my patio doors has completely disintegrated into several pieces. With this product, this is not an issue in any way, you are screwing metal from metal into window hardware. Really cool. The former window handles had a rectangular base turned vertically, these have a base in the shape of a vertical oval (as is, among others, the case of the window handles in the Czech Republic). seen in the picture), for this reason I recommend anyone who decides to replace the older fittings to first buy some mild liquid PVC cleaning paste so that you can easily clean the plastic window in the area of the former handles (old oil, dirt under the handles, etc. ). It took me 30 minutes to assemble all eight handles with cleaning. Installation is very simple. You take the handle out of the neat paper box and out of the bubble wrap, unlock the handle (7 handles were already unlocked, but as if on cue, the first one I started with was locked, i.e. you couldn't quite logically turn the cover plate of the mounting holes for the screws - Murphy's laws work perfectly), you rotate the oval metal plate from vertical to horizontal, spray a little WD into the window fitting, put the handle on, screw it in, rotate the cover plate back to the x-vertical position so that the round hole is at the bottom and you're done. I recommend it for people who have small children at home, people who have mental problems (for example, elderly parents with various types of dementia, etc. ). Really excellent product, I fully recommend it. I see the fact that each handle has a different key (2pcs) as a great advantage, among others. also for the above reason.
