At first glance I liked how the charger opens and closes by itself. But it turned out to be a feature I can't tolerate. The insert is fine, but I'm used to taking the phone out after parking and turning off the engine, but that's not possible here because without power the phone stays clamped. The second problem with the self-closing is that it tries very hard and the Pixel 7 clamps so much and in such a bad place that it clamps the volume down.
