If the original (primo) plastic of the bottle (nice, clean, clear, homogeneous composition and stable properties) was intended for contact with alcohol, recycling where the purity of the original primo plastic cannot be achieved (hence the grey colour of the plastic) has lost its inertness and it is no longer a reliable plastic intended for contact with alcohol. Alcohol concentrations above 20% are already acting as active solvents (21.6% alcohol here), so we can thank the EU eco-scum for its obtuse regulation on the mandatory "use of recycled" plastics to reduce the production of virgin plastics, and Listerin for putting the populist statement "we have recycled plastics" before the health of its clients !
